About Me

C. L. Zeno is an independent comic writer and artist. He is the co-creator of The Avandrus Theory and Drunk Mom. Although he has been a self taught artist his whole life, Zeno considers himself a write first, priding himself on humor, continuity, and pouring his heart into his writing.

When C. L. Zeno isn’t making comics, he’s often spending time with his family or playing D&D with friends. He’s been a Dungeon Master for about 10 years.

He grew up in Los Angeles, CA reading comic books and drawing in his room with his headphones on. Some of his childhood comic influences are Green Lantern: Mosiac, Legion of Superheroes, MAD Magazine, and old Marvel Essentials compilations of Silver Surfer, Thor, The Avengers, Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, The Defenders, and more.

Zeno served in the U. S. Navy for 8 years, where he kept comics in his rack to read while on duty on the ship. When getting back into comics as an adult, modern influences include the Noto/Edmonson Black Widow run, the Slott/Allred Silver Surfer run, Wilson/Alphona Ms. Marvel, and many, many others. Zeno believes in the unlimited creative potential of the comics medium.
